- A temporary dome to host royal families and dignitaries to mark the launch of the supply of liquefied national gas (LNG) to the UK by Qatargas
- A 42m diameter dome with 16 airfilled panels that were pressurised to create a perfect half-sphere
- The shape of the dome was inspired by the circular logo of Qatargas

- The dome was built within two weeks with a design, planning and procurement period of six months
- Sensors in the airfilled panels were pre-programmed to enable the correct pressure to be maintained
- The dome was surrounded by and reflected in a purpose built lake
